Born in Portland on Flag Day, June 14, 1932, Joanne was the daughter of the late Richard and Virginia (Lappin) McCarthy. There, she was able to visit with family that she hadn’t seen for a long time, caught up with her friends, and was even able to say her goodbyes while enjoying a Bloody Mary. Her family will be forever grateful that she was able to enjoy this special day.
