Daniel C. Page, 55, of South Portland, left us on Sunday, November 15, 2015 to join his wife and many family members. Dan was born in Portland, Maine to the late Eugene and Margaret (Whalen) Page on February 17, 1960. Dan was a lifelong South Portlander, except for the 4 years that he served our country in the United States Air Force. Several of our family enjoyed his deployment to Hawaii, as did Dan, since they had wonderful vacations visiting him. This is where he developed many friends beyond his South Portland family. Once returning to Maine, Dan pursued his education beyond what he had obtained in the Air Force. He specialized in Computers his most recent employer was through Bank of America, before he left to care for his mother and then wife. Dan had been a wonderful caregiver to many of his family members over the past several years up until August when his wife, Gina, passed away. He often neglected his own needs to put others before his own. As was very evident, Dan was a huge New York Yankees fan and truly enjoyed spending time in New York to see David Letterman. New York was special to Danny, he and his father-in-law, Dude, also a Yankees fan would travel to see games, some of his old classmates and he went to one of Dave Lettermans last shows and most important, he and Regina Renna went to the top of the Empire State Building so that he could propose to her in style! In addition to New York, Danny loved his trip to Washington D.C. and Ireland. He was very proud to have his Irish roots! Danny was an avid reader. The books combined with being able to read on his iPad were two of his favorite past times together. Danny was a great friend to many. He met Gina by frequenting Evelyns Tavern and the Griffin Club and the many others who frequent these establishments were as close as family could be to both Gina and Dan. Thank you to all of his friends and family for the comfort of friendship and chats While names of his friends arent mentioned for the fear of leaving someone out, the family wishes you all to know that all you have done was so appreciated by Danny. In addition to his parents, Dan is predeceased by his sister, Julienne; brothers,Tim Rick; Wife, Gina and Father-in-law, John. Dan is survived by his dog and companion - Seamus; sisters-in-law, nieces, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many close friends. He will be missed.
