Portland - Nancy Edith (Williamson) Tucci went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 8, 2021.
Nancy was born on June 28, 1935, in Portland, the daughter of the late George and Grace (Rhodes) Williamson. Nancy grew up in Portland and South Portland and attended local schools. Nancy met the love of her life, John Tucci, Sr., and they married in Portland on February 20, 1951.
John and Nancy settled down in Portland and started their family. Together they had eight children. Nancy was family oriented and a true matriarch, the backbone of the family. At the same time, a strong willed and quick-witted, with a special knack for winning scrabble and Yahtzee games. She mastered the art off cooking with her mother in law and used her skills to whip up a bountiful Italian pasta dinners and desserts every Sunday for her ever growing family.
She was a born-again Christian and a member of the Lighthouse Christian Center in Westbrook. Family was most important to Nancy and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Nancy's family would like to thank the staff at the Barron Center for their kind and loving care they gave to Nancy.
Nancy was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, John Tucci, Sr. in 2005; and a son, John Tucci, Jr, and a sister, Connie Dodd. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Allarie and her husband Rene of Scarborough, Gail Ames and her husband Arthur "Butch" of Standish, Valerie Daly and her husband Don of Scarborough; four sons, Rocco Tucci and his wife Cindy of Freeport, Paul Tucci and his wife Susan of Windham, Andrew Tucci and his wife Mirela of Scarborough, Rick Tucci and his partner Michelle Miller of South Portland; a brother, Sanford "Jerry" Williamson and his wife Linda of South Portland; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Conroy-Tully Walker Funeral Home of South Portland.
Aunt Nancy was like a mom to me. I loved her and will miss her . She was a great lady. love and prayers to her family.
